About the event

Over 5 days and 4 nights, join colleagues for writing, daily meditation, gentle exercise, and wholefood plant-based meals, in the peaceful surrounds of the Yarra Valley.

Set in a secluded 40 acres, bounded by the Little Yarra River, bushland and farms, the Yarra Valley Living Centre provides a quiet haven for a variety of birds, deer, kangaroos, koalas, wombats, echidnas, platypus...and you.

This is a place for silence, the joy of life, and writing with like-minded people.

Bring your writing device and project - be it a journal article, a thesis, a book draft, curriculum development material, or your creative, reflective, pod cast or policy writing - and rest, whilst you write and rejuvenate.

Each full day you will write for at least six hours.  The program also includes gentle exercise, guided meditation, forest bathing, scenic walks and discussion circles all aimed at supporting you in the writing process.

Retreat price $1,360.00, includes:

  • All meals (dietary requirements can be accommodated)
  • Ensuite accommodation (twin share only available for same-family members)
  • Linen and towels
  • Use of laundry facilities

Days commence with gentle morning exercise and mediation in the beautiful Meditation Sanctuary. Writing time commences after nourishing breakfast and is interspersed throughout the day with meals and gentle meditative physical activities that will enhance your creativity. After dinner, a work in progress discussion circle or creativity session precedes the day’s closing mediation.

Massage therapists are available and are priced additional to the retreat.
